Previous Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday depicted his relationship with the late Sovereign Elizabeth II as awesome.
Obasanjo talked when he allowed a meeting to the News Focal television at his Olusegun Obasanjo Official Library (OOPL) Penthouse home in Abeokuta, the Ogun capital.
In a proclamation by representative Kehinde Akinyemi, Obasanjo lauded the late Head of District, implying that he was going to leave optional school when she originally visited the country in 1956.
The previous pioneer said he was lucky to have facilitated the Sovereign as Nigerian President during the Province Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Abuja in 2003.
“My relationship with the Sovereign was great. She was an extraordinary, extraordinary lady, who had shown incredible models in human connections.
“She held herself so benevolently, so stately. She was someone I have enormous regard for.
“I join the remainder of the world to grieve with her family, the Unified Realm, the Province and the remainder of the world.
“I likewise grieve with Ruler Charles, who vowed to go on from where she had halted. May her spirit find happiness in the hereafter”, he added.
